As long as you procure via an AD (authorised distributer) or IWC Boutique the watch will come with its normal warranty and for sure, IWC provide the same high level of service on current shipping released watches as on those of yesteryear.
In fact, this forum is full of wonderful stories of 50 year, 70 year or even 100+ year old IWC pieces going to Schaffhuasen for service, and coming back to their owners looking and working like the day they originally left the factory!
If you like the watch, and you can locate one... Go ahead and secure it! You wont regret it.
