Sorry if this has been dealt with before -- I am a relatively new forum member.

I have heard that many manufacturers Rhodium plate their white gold watch cases. I also heard that Patek does not and that Vacheron recently quit.

What about IWC? I would like my next IWC to be white gold! THanks, -Phil

No, on all current models IWC does not plate its white gold. I suspect the change occurred about 10 years ago.

Since no gold is pure (24k would be too soft) IWC adds palladium to its white gold, which is a costly metal related to platinum.
