Double the Pleasure, Double the Fun

I would like to consider buying a optional MARK XVII bracelet to go along with the upcoming LPP17. I think it would look fantastic but it would also be double great if it would work on my XVI.

Both XVII/XVI have 20mm lugs, however the XVI diameter is 39mm while the XVII is 41mm. Given the possible curvature of the cases due to the difference in size, not sure how the fitting on the XVI would be. Woukd it have a proper flush integrated connection?

Anyone had any experience with this scenario or better yet already bought one ( for the standard XVII ) for the same purpose I seek and can share the results?

A) Draw a circle 41mm and then another circle 39mm touching the outer edge and then space bars 20mm and see how the 39mm circle is out of alignment.
B) The lug holes on the two watches may be a different distance away from the watch diameter.
I think you have zero chance of having either a good fit or a good visual effect using the one bracelet for the two watches.

Thanks Greg for your reply and I can see the possibility of what you describe regarding the lug holes. While I was hoping someone has already attempted the fitting to both the XVI & XVII, I will throw this out to Leo if he's following the forum currently for any thoughts. He gets to see just about everything and might have some spec's that can address my idea of "killing two birds with one stone" ( not that I would do that in real life ). Not to forget Jack who I'm told specializes in PD models, he too might have had experience with this matter.

So....Leo....Jack, any input would be much appreciated.

Hi Andy,
I have trawled all the interchange-ability lists I could find but the XVI and XVII bracelets are never listed for each others cases. Regardless, the door to your swap may not yet be closed. It is possible they are not compared in the lists as the XVI is not 'meant to have' the newer design bracelet.
I don't see many XVII's on bracelets but the next time I do, I will try it on a XVI and let you know. I will be on holidays soon so it may be the end of November before I have any news for you. Hope you can wait.

Just a note to reassure you that I haven't forgotten this tread or my offer. We haven't seen a single MK XVII on a bracelet in the workshops since...
I suppose that can only be a testament to their quality and reliability...

Hi Andy,
At long last, I had both models in the workshop at the same time this week.
The case for the XVII is thicker so the bracelet attachment holes are in different positions. As a result, the bracelets only fit their respective models.
