Hey guys, new member here. I finally got one of my favorite watches after drooling over it for about 2 years.... The Portugeuse 7 day 5001-07:

    i47.photobucket.com/albums/f176/dshpuntov/IWC.jpg

Quick question for you as this is my first 7 day watch, how often should I put it on the watch winder? I assume when the power is low, put it on the winder and turn it off when 7 days is reached? I know the topic subjective but just wanted to get a general consensus.

I leave it on the winder. You cannot over wind as there is protection when fully wound.

Alternatively, just hand wind it until the PR shows it fully wound. The watch will run more accurately if the mainspring is kept at least half wound.

Hi Dmitriys, welcome to the IWC family and congratulations on this beauty!

Whenever I wear my 5001-07 it still brings a smile to my face, even after all these years! I would call this watch "almost" perfect. The almost is there just in-case someone wants to dispute my claim about it being perfect, LOL!!!!

Please feel free to post more photos! here are a few of mine................

Thanks guys, appreciate the warm welcome. I haven't had a chance to take any other pics, it has been a crazy week in the mortgage market with all the equity data, but will do this weekend and will post them up here.

This is also my 2nd IWC... I also have the Pilot Top Gun single chrono:
