For some reason, the blue strap and hands do not show in the photos. I promise to deliver some daylight shots very soon... here are a few angles, however:

Aaah, wel done! I am happy for you, this is a marvelous watch! Enjoy and wear it in good health (and stay clear from door frames ;-)
Kind regards,
Clemens
Thank you Clemens for the kind words - and yes, I will pay attention to those door frames!
P.S.: Sent a text message about every hour or so today to my wife - just letting her know what time it was at that time:-)) The dial is just too beautiful not to check it out constantly!
Lol! Watch out that you don't find yourself just looking at the watch and not even realize what time it is! I promise you that this will happen :-)
Kind regards,
Clemens

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments!
@Vincent: it indeed calls for celebration. The champagne is cold - I actually have some thoughts on how we should celebrate. We shall get together soon for a true IWC evening in Abu Dhabi!
Unfortunately, I did not get the chance to take a shot outside in natural daylight... therefore, another try this evening at home - and finally we have a bit of blue:-)

best shot that captures the beauty of this watch..
congrats,

I fell in love with the 5001 07 when i was at the Atlantis in Dubai and have been in love with it ever since.
Wear in good health.

Fantastic - congratulations.
Congrats. Love it.
Nice, happy for you.
Was whittling down my list for a next acquisition and the 5001 (blue markers) was #1. Then without warning, IWC pulls a spoiler and announces the Portugeuse Classic Chrono (silver dial).
I really like the 5001 and your Photo's have amped me up. Getting ready to go try on the new 3904 and then it will be decision time.
5001,3904,5001,3904....damn, why does life have to be so hard ?

You're right - I felt the same when I saw the 3904 on the website. Once I saw them both "live", the decision was easy though. For me, the movement was a big part of the decision as well - and I love the complication of the 7-day reserve (if we can call that a complication!).
Good luck with your choice! Both of them are great watches!
