    Hi, Mates!
A sunny day, great hospitality, many beauties and a lot of fun. This is the description of another fantastic GTG in Vienna. And this time we were more than two: Marian and his lovely wife Michaela came from Slovakia to meet the "viennese connection" Thomas and me ;-)
And again there was boutique manager Michael Hofer and his team to make this day so special for us.

… not only with fantastic coffee …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0604_zps6409d16e.jpeg

Marian had his wonderful Ingenieur Tribute to Italy on his wrist - what a wonderful piece:
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0566_zps1d35d612.jpeg

also the backside with the map of italy
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0568_zps4c4fbe22.jpeg

had to try it myself ;-)
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0597_zpsf7ac0472.jpeg

Thomas came with his Ingenieur Titan
    3227
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0574_zps3a5a9dab.jpeg

And Marian couldn´t wait to see "his" Spitfire again :-)
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/Unknown-1_zpsffddd6c6.jpeg

    also the bracelet is stunning
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0611_zps236137a6.jpeg

but then suddenly a competitor appeared:
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0591_zpsb0d9f4d3.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0627_zps73e22ed4.jpeg

what a nice one - it´s in the detail … see the sparkling small dials?
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0623_zps1d98e4d2.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0571_zpsa057e09b.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0573_zpsdcce6808.jpeg

Marians heart beats for the ardoise … but his wife prefers the Tribeca … he should take both!
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0605_zpsa010706b.jpeg

    but there´s also the JU-Air …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0602_zpsa734d101.jpeg

watching watches is not easy …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0618_zps520ebffc.jpeg

Thomas came for the black AT
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0613_zps8f6ca7af.jpeg

    fits well on his wrist
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0600_zpsf99143fc.jpeg

    but there´s also the bronze
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0643_zpsb5585e2b.jpeg

same effect like the spitfires on marians wrist …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0657_zpscd1a6444.jpeg

    the bronze is sharper …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0667_zps43452eec.jpeg

… and IWC is not just engineered for men …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0631_zps36a5be48.jpeg

    of course Marian knows that
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0634_zpsc7194c87.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0638_zpsa46989e3.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0641_zps7f97a99b.jpeg

but there were also other fantastic pieces … like the Miramar:
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0675_zps037f6780.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0686_zps17f7281b.jpeg

    the Mark XVI
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0598_zps81ddd332.jpeg

    Portuguese YC
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0622_zps1ae7cd57.jpeg

    And my biggest temptation ..

    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0703_zpsf3d155a0.jpeg
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0710_zpse9027e0d.jpeg

    then a group shot
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0719_zpse48b8785.jpeg

a last view on the Portofino …
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0721_zps456a5fd9.jpeg

    and the "coffee after" ;-)
    i42.photobucket.com/albums/e312/uhrvoll/DSC_0724_zpsbf7b9d18.jpeg

Marian, Michaela and Thomas - it was great to meet you!!!
And all forum friends - I hope you enjoyed a little bit like we did!

Again thx to Michael - who (by the way) made a fantastic offer for some forum members … but this will be an issue for another posting.

    Best,
    -Christian

    Christian, thanks for sharing!

Great shots of great watches. I particularly like the Mark XVI with the black jacket and white shirt combo. So clean. Of course the blue dial Portuguese looks great with that combo too.

By the amount of time you're spending in the shop, I can only hope the manager has not started charging you rent? :-)

Boy, Christian, you're quick :o) Didn't you said you're on holiday? ;o) Thank you for the hospitality and both of you for the company, we've had really a fun time!

I have to say my wife was very brave to survive four guys talking watches in this small boutique for that long and she said she was not bored!

I also really have to thank all the boutique staff for the great hospitality and taking care for all of us occupying the place. Michael is truly the watch enthusiast and it's great to touch and feel the watches with him.

When I get computer fixed I'll try to post some pictures of you tagging pictures as well :o)

Just a small correction, my wife's name is Michaela ;o)

Very nice GTG in Vienna again. Hope I can make it from Zurich one day, or you the other way around...shouldn't be so difficult from the distance point of view ;-)

    Cheers Chris

It was a really great day - lot's of gorgeous watches AND lot's of fun with you guys! :D
    A pleasure meeting you...

And a special THX to IWC (and of course Michael H.) for the great hospitality:

These GTG's are one of the true joys of being part of this forum. It appears y'all had a great day! I would be remiss in not stating that I love, love, love Marian's Ingenieur "Tribute to Italy!"

    Ah Vienna! I miss it!

Christian - how are you mate? Top work again I see - you are a superb host! Looks like another fun GTG and your photo essays really tell a good story.

Nice to see Michael Hofer too - he is a true ambassador for IWC and you both make a great team! :-)

Marian - a pity our timing didn't coincide last month. I absolutely love your Tribute to Italy and share your interest in the Portofino line. Maybe our paths will cross in the future.

Thomas - those ATs look good on your wrist. I can appreciate the difficulty in deciding! Did you end up picking one? Hopefully we can meet up next time I'm in Vienna.

Here's to the forum and making friends when we travel.

    Hi Christian
Very nice report and great pictures. Always good to see such stunning pieces enjoyed by appreciative friends. We are very fortunate to have these opportunities at the boutiques. I have 2 trips to NY to look forward to in September - one business, one pleasure.

At least some raw material resized and uploaded to share. I just couldn't stay
behind if Christian works that fast ;o)

This is what I actually came for and what has triggered this wonderful GTG. A
    spare strap for the Ingenieur:

What is missing in the first post from Christian? Right, his watch (on my hand
    :o)

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

He was trying to catch really a lot for what we are thankful:

Three beautiful watches side by side:

Great looking event, fantastic watches! About the latter:
    - of all the Spitfire Chrono's, the ardoise dial bracelet version looks best to me, I once made the right choice;
    - the combination of the white dial Portofino Chrono, with its beautiful round case, and the mesh bracelet looks fantastic to me, and it looked quite nice on the wrist of the equally beautiful lady;
    - it is always a pleasure to see the Italian Vintage Collection Ingenieur, and the older titanium Ingenieur AMG, which served me well on certain trips in the Swiss Alps recently;
    - the new bronze Aquatimer is the winner to me of the new Aquatimer collection.

Thank you for showing all these beautiful pictures!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Thx Anthony! Yes, it was great fun again - Michael does a really good job. And I'm happy to meet people from all over the world sharing the same passion. And you? Have you already decided between your AT's?

Great post and great photos! Nice to see the different spitfires side-by-side. Also nice to see a shot of the boutique yacht-club in the black case. Thank you for sharing!
