First IWC - IW391010 - what is lug width?

Just got home from the store with my First IWC a Ref. IW391010. I bought it with the Milanese mesh strap but would also like to switch with a customer leather strap now and then. I think the lug width is 20mm but cannot find it documented anywhere. Does anyone know the lug width of this watch or where I can find it.

I think the lug width of the Portofino Chrono is 21 mm.

Congratulations on your new watch, a great mix of sporty and dressy. Can you share some pictures of your watch on the mesh bracelet? We don't see it here that often.

Hmm any way I can confirm it? Don't have anything accurate to measure with right now and keen to order customer strap. Strange that full specs aren't listed anywhere.

I am quite sure the lug width of the Portofino Chrono is 21 mm, as it is for the Mark XVII and the Portofino Automatic. I was wondering if I should buy the same bracelet for my Portofino 8 Days Handwound. That watch has a lug width of 22 mm, the mesh bracelet for this watch had to be specially ordered as it was wider than that of the chrono in the shop. Because I was not sure how it would look like, and because the price was too high to take that risk I didn't do it. As far as I know IWC has no watches in the current collection with a lug width of 20 mm.

thank you for the kind comments. To me it is quite a unique timepiece with that chain. Brand new but has a very strong retro look to it.

I wrote IWC concierge service and they confirmed that it is in fact 20mm at the lugs:

Oops, OK, you know the answer now, we all do.

Lug width of the different models would make a great topic in a FAQ section here on the site, as it could also apply to the watches not in production anymore.
