Hey all. First off just wanted to thank everyone that posts here. What an amazing and unique place this is. I discovered the IWC forum about a month ago and I am completely hooked on reading all your posts...

So, aside from being hooked on the forum, I am also hooked on watching the Food Network here in the U.S. Nothing like watching some good cooking in HD television... To the point - In the past few weeks I have noticed that two of the best cooks on the network wear IWCs!! Tyler Florence (of "Tyler's Ultimate") has an IWC Big Pilot's and Elton Brown (of "Good Eats" and the emcee/play by play guy of "Iron Chef America") has a classic Mark pilot's watch. I am 100% sure of this.. and I was so excited to see it. My girlfriend of course thinks I'm crazy because in the middle of these cooking shows I'll freak out and pause the HDDVR and check out the watches...

I just happened to catch Elton's classic Mark watch on TV about an hour ago on this "all star grilling special South Beach" from 2007... which inspired me to write this post. I had to share this discovery with somebody. Has anybody else seen this or am I the only one?

(Notably, I know Elton Brown is a watch guy because he's typically wearing a different watch on each of his shows. And as for Tyler, I've seen the BP on about 3 or 4 episodes.. but some of the episodes he has no watch on at all.)

Well, sorry for the long post, and I hope that it falls within the guidelines. But I couldn't resist to share this exciting and probably meaningless tidbit of information with you all... Thanks,

    -Jon

    interesting; here's another IWC chef...

I've exchanged a few e-Mails with Riad Nasr, who is a very well-known chef in New York (Balthazar ), who has co-authored several books and who is a Big Pilot Watch owner.

Great chefs have great taste ;)
