Forum Watch # 3 - Did I miss something?

Sorry was missing from the Forum. Any updates on the progress of the Forum Watch?
Am eagerly awaiting. Would love to see a 5001 as one (forum watch).
Just love the 500107. And so does my family...

Sorry, nothing to report --yet.

When I was in Schaffhausen at the beginning of this month there was a meeting where new proposals were discussed. We're still a long way from realization.

There are so many limited editions out there - just get one that pleases you. Why waiting and holding back the money? The longer you wait for a CF watch (and as Michael says, there is yet a loooong way yet to go), the higher is the risk that you will be disappointed by the result once - if ever - it is revealed. We have some experience in this ;-) I am much more looking forward to my visit at SIHH to see the novelties there.

CFW3 helped me this summer. I bought the Spitfire Chrono, and considered buying the Mark XVII too, as it is so pretty: maybe best buy after the new Pilot's Chrono 3777, even my wife encouraged me to buy it. That buy would have been against my rule of not more than one watch a year, I might later have felt sorry to buy the Mark XVII as a fun watch, a side dish, where that watch deserves better. But I thought about CFW3, that it quite probably would be a special Mark XVII, and decided to wait for it. Well, I guess if new proposals are considered now after such a clear message from the forum community where the Mark XVII was at least in the Top-3, I guess chances are small that CFW3 will indeed be a Mark XVII. But at least CFW3 had its effect on me and my buying behaviour, IWC would have sold one more watch in 2012 if CFW3 had not been in our minds.

Had seen one, loved it. Was a special edition of Ingenieur for Laureus Foundation. Was in HKG IWC, but sold out before I got there.
Will try my luck in Jan again.
With my (good) luck , once I get the 500107, the Forum Watch will be declared. :)

Rats. I was hoping we might be getting close.

I guess the topic would be a great bet for the UK betting agencies. I personally would place quite an amount that will not happen :-)

OK, bet is on, I say it will come, in 2013 probably, based on the new Ingenieur Automatic, as with the CFW1, that was quite a success!

Paul, you just made me excited about a possible MkXVII! That would be a great option.
I missed all previous conversations about Forum Watches.

Just saw the video on the complications. Man, loved every watch.
Looks like I got to double my efforts as the lovely people in IWC.
Need to up my collection.
