If Ingenieur will lead next year, than maybe we can aim CF III be one too.
But, let it be a vintage version so it will not look similar to CF I

Like the Vintage Inge, but with white/silver dial and anti-magnetic?
I agree. Comparing ref. 1832 with 3227 (whose desing the following references replied, stressing the muscular elements of its design), the first one seems to be much softer and curvilinear, ref. 3227 is instead full of angularities, not actually faithful to the original model.
I think - just my very humble opinion, not supported by any fact or evidence - the latest reference are thought to duelling on the market with another iconic watch from another brand (same original designer though), losing the roots of the original model.
I'm currently wearing ref. 1832 today and I keep wondering (not for the first time) why not turning back to roots, producing exactly the same watch? The other brand does, with some success, I believe.
Probably, what I'm writing doesn't exactly fit the discussion, just a digression, having kept JiiPee's comment as a cue.
Do I really need one more Vintage Ing.......Please Enjoy these beautiful pieces ! However I agree with Dave and also feel that the Vintage ING is a very versatile watch, its classic looks and dimension are appealing. Any variation is most welcome.

Either way looked and regardless of the outcomes, it is amazing how much forum buzz CF III aroused before even seen.
Vishal, your's is a special case...very nich trio!
I support that idea! It would also bring back the 8541 movement, which would enable IWC to create a reasonably sized (i.e. not too thick) magnetically shielded pilot's watch with an in-house movement.
As an economic matter, we can't expect a new movement (even a resurrected one) or a custom case. Sorry....it just becomes wishful thinking.
Your thoughts are my thoughts Rob, I only wish the more collectors get the watch the better.

To repeat myself....
Please everyone. Let's keep it simple and we will probably be rewarded with a great watch.
Wishful thinking about modified cases and the like is just counter productive.
Michael,
Will be waiting patiently & eagerly for the same.

teeveetee- I don't think there's a concern with cannibalizing sales; the broader issue is that production schedules are already set. Several pilot's watches are being considered, but also 2013 models might be considered.
At this stage, I don't know what works, but I hope it will be both special and accessible.
