I decided to "go gold" today since I have some appointments. I'm wearing my RG Portofino:

Having returned just today from a Caribbean trip with the family - I still have this one on my wrist. (old photo here..).

Thanks that you mention this. IWC is still on my mind but gets a little less attention then it used to have, busy family:)

And may sound silly... still find the overview more difficult that the old fashioned old site... I grow old I guess!

My gag watch winder is a real 50s-60s vintage egg beater that I bought from the thrift store for $1.00.

I downsized the egg beater via photoshop so the Big Pilot would dominate the photo instead of the egg beater. The actual size egg beater is on the right.

I think Richard (Ardoise) and I have a similar sense of humor since we both used juxtaposition between old and new objects to highlight our IWC watches.

I’ve been so preoccupied with SIHH and IWC’s new Pilot Watch lineup that I forgot that the Big Pilot 5003 is a manual wind watch that doesn’t need a watch winder - not even a gag watch winder!
