    Hi,

wondering what you say about this Aquatimer 2000:
    www.ebay.de/itm/120846478356

Strange bezel, also the date being black on white rather than the opposite is making me suspicious. The seller claims its brand new and unworn.

    Anyone have a view?

    Thanks

    Raffe

I can't tell for sure, but I suspect the strangeness of the bezel is more due to photography. I would guess it's real.

In the future, please don't post links to items for sale. We're supposed to be non-commercial here. Thanks for understanding.

When comparing these pictures to pictures from different IWC catalogues I must say that I am not sure. I wouldn't touch it, if I were you. Mind you, I wouldn't touch any of these watches, but that's me.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Understood. Am I allowed to post a picture of a watch if I am in doubt or do I need to look for help elsewhere?

    Thanks anyway.

All commercial issues aside, it looks legitimate, it is just that the bezel is rotated 180 degrees from the "normal" position" - the fact that it comes with a spare white dial though is a little strange - I would not have thought that IWC would issue a white dial for a black dialed watch . . .

What about the white Date? The GST Aquatimers that i know all have a black Date.

Could it be possible that this is an original white dial with white date thus come whith the spare white dial and now replaced with black. Anyway I am not good at trusting a matching between the photos and product to be posted.

Thanks for your comments, sounds like I better keep away from this one.
