Getting the candles out for the Big Birthday

We have two more days to start celebrating the Collector's Forum Birthday and simultaneously giving a big thank you to MF for his leadership of this great Forum.

Perhaps one of the Asian or European members can start a thread early on the 11th wishing a Big Happy Birthday. It would be great to see how many old and and new members we can have post their best wishes in that thread.

We are all anxious to see what MF will post as a drawing of course and this is not to take away from that excitement.

let me tell you about T-shirts, etc....

Hi Bill,

I have one shipment of prizes from Schaffhausen hung up in Customs right now. FedEx's customs agent only wanted some details like whether notebooks were "spiral or 3 ring or other". Really.

But what Schaffhausen couldn't get me in time are the new T-shirts. I still don't have them, but I did cajol another source and should receive a few soon. These are special --rare, and they are way cool. They look kind of 19th century (after all its the year of the Vintage Collection) and they say "Est. 1868".

The drawing itself is intended as diabolical.

I think MF deserves more than a posted thanks.
How about we all club together and buy him lunch somewhere convenient like, say... Schaffhausen?

it's still hung up in Customs...

because they needed my name and address on the invoice, which of course I gave them and which of course they had (or they couldn't have contacted me, and I Faxed them back). Nor did anyone explain to me the "reason" for this further delay.
