Goood day, I would like to ask about watch I found, when I did some cleaning in house. I tried ask around my family, but they just said that this watch belong to my grand grandmother. She has married in 1945 and this watch was wedding gift. It is probably made from 14k gold and inside is some characters and logos, also is ther number 778448.

So do anyone racognize this watch on pictures? Can someone say something about it. I would like now if it is valuable or it is just good to sell in jewelry store for gold.

Here is link for some pictures, i am apologies for quality.

The watch I see there (in the link) is a DOXA and not an IWC - sorry but here we can only really help you with IWC timepieces.

    Hi,

Sorry to say, but your watch isn't by IWC. The dial, movement and case aren't by IWC. I can't tell from the photos but the caseback, with the stamping, is not done with the typical style done in Schaffhausen during that era. Even for the caseback were genuine, the rest isn't in my opinion.
