The news is very sad. I had the privilege to met Giovanni several times during the past couple of years. I always will keep him in mind as cheerful very fine person. RIP
Kind regards,

Yesterday I got the shocking news of the passing away of Giovanni. It was quite a few years ago we met and Giovanni was one of these guys that you seem to have known for all your life. Full of energy, humor and a great guy to spend time with. I call myself lucky to have known Giovanni and call him my friend, even though we only met a handful of times. If I already feel that way, I can't begin to imagine how hard it is for his close friends and his family to cope with this great loss. I wish you all the strength and wisdom in these hard times. Rest in peace my dear friend.

A nice fellow passed away too early. All of us are shocked.
I will keep the collectors Meeting in October 2015 in good Memory when we enjoyed the time in Schaffhausen and Dübendorf.
I wish his Family the strength and power they need in the time ahead of them.
R.I.P Giovanni

Oh my god, I'm heartbroken... what a loss and I feel so, so teribly sorry for his wife and children...
A lot of great things have been said already: Giovanni the smiling man, always interested, enthusiastic, empathetic... a truly friendly guy who made you feel you'd known him for years...
You will be deeply missed my friend and my condoleances go to your wife, daughters, family and friends (all over the world).

"The smiling man in the middle!!!"

This is really shocking! I am happy to get to know Giovanni during the Last collectors Meeting and at SIHH, only some weeks ago. We had very interesting discussions and he was a very friendly, warm hearted Person with Style and a huge IWC enthusiasm.
My thoughts are with his family and his best buddy Mark.
RIP Giovanni

Very sad news. Deepest condolences to Giovanni's family.
Gio will always be in our hearts, my condolences...
Such a beautiful man. A dreadful loss for all those who had the fortune to have Giovanni as a friend. Deepest sympathies to his family and Mark.
... never had the chance to meet him in person but it makes me very sad.
Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away.
my deepest sympathies to his family and Mark.
Best,
-Christian
Incredibly sad to hear this. Gio will be missed greatly!
Condolences to his family...
My deepest condolences to Gio's family...
Met Giovanni at two SIHH events, seen and followed his posts here at the Forum.
We have clearly lost a great contributor but more importantly a great fellow with a truly generous and humorous personality.
My thoughts are with his family - My deepest condolences.

I never met Giovanni, but judging by the messages posted by those that did he will be sorely missed.
My condolences to his family and friends.
I've never met Giovanni. However, it it is a huge loss for the IWC world Society.
Condolences to the family.
RIP.
I'm deeply saddened by the news of Giovanni. Many collectors knew him far better than I but I was honored to have the opportunity to meet him at the October Collectors meeting in Schaffhausen. I still remember walking into to bar area, nervous as it was my first Collectors meeting but those nerves soon disappeared as Giovanni was one of the first forumers I spoke too.... a real friendly guy with a huge passion for IWC. He will be sorely missed by so many.
My condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Sad, sad news.
I met Giovanni twice, both times at SIHH and during a collectors dinner, he kindly let me wear his BP, to ensure the crown did not agitate my back of my hand. A true gentleman.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
RIP Giovanni
