I recently came across a very good condition GST. I'm pretty happy with the purchase since I have been looking for one in good condition for a while. Needless to say there is a small hole near the left bottom lug. Additionally, this version of the GST does not have the tritium dial and the lume fades after about 15 minutes.

Since I don't have the original papers for the watch, can I still send it to IWC for servicing? Will IWC be able to minimize that hole and also relume? The concern I have regarding reluming if it will be an add-on to the existing lume or replacement of the hands and dial? I'm also curious to find out if you guys have had this done before to another IWC from the same era and how much the process cost.

EDIT: Title should have said GST 3707-03 not 3703.

Apologies, I meant to put GST 3707-03 in the title.

    Hi Foureight84
Firstly, the hole in the lug is essential to the design, as that is how the pin that attaches the bracelet to the watch is removed.

"Additionally, this version of the GST does not have the tritium dial and the lume fades after about 15 minutes"
The above indicates that it is TRITIUM and is normal for this age of watch. Schaffhausen will replace the dial and hands if you request, but I would recommend you keep the watch as is - as original with characteristics commensurate with its age.

    Here's my 3707-08
