    Hi All,

Like ALIFEGAN (PS, Congrats on new watch!) I to am looking at adding a GST Aquatimer to my collection, however am interested in the 3536-03, White faced variant.

I have seen a few of these available online but they seem to a be a bit rarer than the 3536-01/02 's and I was wondering if anyone knew the reason for this? Looking at search results a lot fo the results come back from Asian sites so I was wondering if maybe these ere released mainly for the Asian markets? If so, I guess a trip to Hong Kong or Singapore may be on the cards at some point . . . If I can figure out the reason behind limited numbers (maybe they were not limited at all and people are just hanging on to them tighter) it may steer the way I go about acquiring one.

    Cheers,

    Ben

The white dialed Aquatimer is quite rare. Maybe, it wasn't very popular at the time. Incidentally, I picked mine up in Tokyo some years back. I think it's a super looking watch.

Definitely a great looking watch. I've it owned twice and each time my wife says it looks "feminine." Darn it! That sticks in my head and then I sell it.

I've got the Ti 3536 and so far she has not said a thing.

(Of course, I haven't shown it to her!). Those darn little voices in our heads.

    Best,
    Larry

Thanks, Larry. I think I have just found my elusive feminine side. Mrs E will be delighted.

    Good morning, Ben!
Tell me why you have such a strong craving for Aquatimer Model 2000 is not latest version?
Have you seen the latest new models Aquatimer Cousteau, Aquatimer Chronograph, Aquatimer Galapagos and the last 2000?

    Hi Evgeny,

I currently have a Portuguese Automatic 5001 and a Pilot Top Gun Double Chrono - both from the current collection and am looking to add something a bit older, with a little bit of exclusivity to the collection. By exclusive, I dont mean expensive, just something with a bit of rarity and "character" and history to it.

I like the current Auqatimers but the GST range does not exist any more and in the case of the 3536-03 there seems to be a air of uniqueness to them as there were not a lot made, you dont see them very often and they are part of the Aquatimer family that seems to have set the original benchmark for this style of watch, being compared with the Rolex Seadwellers amongst others.

I am also on the look out for a Ingenieur 666AD and as most others out there a Mark 11 but the GST Aquatimer is a much more practical watch in that it is robust (so is the 666), has a metal bracelet and a watch that I wont be too concerned giving the occasional knock - I couldn't think how bad I would feel if I managed to obtain a pristine 666 or MK11 and put a scratch on it, whereas I will be quite comfortable wearing the Aquatimer under all situations.

So in short, I guess I am looking for something older with a bit of character, but as I cant afford them all at the moment, will have to settle on the practical :)
