One of my favorite watches is the GST perpetual. I have the titanium....

In looking through the archives I know there are three other dial colors. There is a white dial, a black dial and a salmon dial. The black dial is different than the titanium black dial in the picture.
Were there any other colors, perhaps for the gold version?

Alan - Very nice GST there. Only Steel and Ti versions of the Perpetual Calendar were in the catalog. There is a total of 5 dial variants I know of: Saumon, White, Silver, Black, and Ti-Black (with the yellow accents). A gold GST Perpetual find would be a big coup.

When the Saumon dial was discontinued after the first year, in 2002, that's when the white and black steel versions came to be.

I looked at the Workbook site and did not see a silver dial. Anyone have a picture of this?

I found this on the net - listed as 3756-07. Is this the one?

I know I have seen an actual picture of one before, and I think I remember seeing one in the metal.

Photos of theSilver, White, and black versions appear in the 2003/04 catalog. I don't see why they would not be listed in the dealer workbook. The image Dick posted is the silver dial. The white dial is essentially the same, but a bright white with a matte, flat surface. The silver one is much nicer, in my opinion.

Great pictures of a cool IWC.

Is it just the angle or is Tonny's Salmon colored dial one missing the chronograph start/stop button above the crown??? It looks kind of funny!

It is the angle. I held my watch the same way and, surprisingly, the top pusher disappeared.

Hey Alan. I did not realize, until this thread started, that there seem to be subtle changes or updates to the silver dial. If you look at the image that Dick posted of the silver dial, the numerals on the outside are a hollow, light color - and the subsequent image shows the silver dial with darker blue numbers and a red 60, like the white.

I think this is why I got confused in the first place. I knew there was another dial but was not sure if it was just another white dial version. I guess Tony has me second guessing every "white" dial I think I see. haha

Well Andrew.....you did say "show us your dials"...happy to oblige.

The GST Perpetual Calendar is probably one of the most under rated watches ever to come out of IWC and they can be found at very reasonable prices, however I have sensed a more than passing interest in this bygone range and see prices rising year on year. The bracelets on the models are without doubt the best ever produced by ( for) IWC in my opinion and set the bar for subsequent models.
I've always thought the GST range was 10 years ahead of its time. Just think what a WOW they would be if they were being launched today

    Hi there,

The best and only sports watch ever made 12 ATM waterproof with Chronograph and PPC! Nice Test www.watchtime.at/archive/wt_2001_06/WT_2001_06_106.pdf

I've found out there are 3 different black and 2 white dials: look at inner seconds dial detail!

    1. My own 2nd gen. black dial 2004:
      i44.tinypic.com/15sa1b9.png
    2. 1st gen. black dial 2003 (not 2002 see IWC Cataloge):
      i40.tinypic.com/14inzp2.jpg
    3. Black Titanium dial.

The Rhodium (silver) dial Red details. I've never seen one in real life! Please post when you have one!
    My own: (2003 Rhodium dial):

Only thing I'm missing is a copy of the original in-store promotion DVD on the GST:
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMx-dvJtX-A .

    Can anybody help me out?

    kind regards,

    Sun

    They realy should!

It was their flagship! But after 2004 IWC didn't mention it any more in there catalogue? completely vanished out of History?!

    Please IWC make a tribute!
