Giovanni's post got me thinking about this piece. It really is a great watch. Love the bracelet. Anyone else have a GST model? How bout some pics?

    Hi Alan,
You probably know I have the GST perpetual titanium too. In my opinion it's one of the best looking IWC watches I have. Just love the uncommon combination of a sports watch with the PPC module and it wears just wonderfull around the wrist with the superb bracelet. Here is a picture of mine...

The GST range was about 10 years "before its time".....and is so under rated.
Every watch in the range speaks quality IWC and they boast the best bracelet ever to grace an IWC watch.
Anyone looking for great style and great value for money should look no further. In the past I have had most of the GST range and enjoyed everyone.

That's the first picture of the GST with a rubber strap I have ever seen. It looks great.

I've always thought that finding a GST Perpetual might be my only shot at owning a Perpetual Calendar IWC. I think it is a classic in all the metals that "GST" denotes.

I had the same thoughts for a long time Jim and I love the GST Perpetual, it is a great looking watch and as others have said, well before its time, it still looks and wears great and coupled with the rest of the range including the GST Aquatimer is a great lineup.

Dont discount the Kurt Klaus Da Vinci though - they are floating around out there in a similar price range to the GST Perpetual's but I guess with your stunning CFDV you would prefer to add a GST to the collection rather than another DaVinci.

The other approach to a Perpetual is the path of incremental pain - you can always trade in one of your existing pieces on a new Perpetual and hope that the price difference is what you would be prepared to spend on a new watch, that way it feels like you have only spent x amount but you end up with a watch worth twice as much - this approach helped me sleep at night when I got my PPC recently :)

And to the others - thanks for the pics, the GST Perpetual is a great looking watch!

    Cheers,

    Ben

I have said it before, and I'll say it again. The GST perpetual is fantastic! It is probably my all time most worn IWC.

I have always admired these GST Perpetuals. The dial layout and the use of color accents are truly amazing.

Not being a big bracelet guy, I must admit that the Ti bracelets on the GST look fantastic and I can only imagine how comfortable and light they must be.
As another post just mentioned, it appears the refreshing of the AT line next year possibly is returning to a internal bezel setup. Should this become a reality, IMO the GST design would be a excellent foundation to build on for the new AT's. Bringing a Ti variation into the new lineup with a GST influence would create for a very attractive AT.

Not sure of what movements are in the GST's. Can anyone elaborate ?

    Andy

Definitely a stunning watch and can be boughgt for around half the price of other PPC's with a choice of three dials
The salmon dial is to die for

And remember, even though you lose the seven day power reserve compared to a PPC or BPP,, you have a Chrono feature as well. So there is a lot of watch for the money.
