Dear IWC watch enthusiasts / forum members
Another year is coming to an end meaning that another exciting year is about to begin. 2009 is sure to bring some exciting news about our beloved IWC. Great new watches to be revealed to us in two weeks time at the Collectors meeting in Schaffhausen and for a selection of old and new friends to meet in person and convert the forum enthusiasm into a personal experience.
I wish you all a wonderful end of the year taking time to reflect on the positive aspects which have passed.
And most importantly I wish you all continued great health and with that I have already made a toast to you all earlier this morning with my latest limited release Ardbeg Blasda (lightly peated) glass of whisky.
In Scots Gaelic I toast your health with one word......Slaandjivaa, which means - to your health.
Looking forward to 2009.
Andrew
Round the world this song is often sang - badly, making up words as one goes along- and for those wishing to know the words........
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne.
Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
Repeat Chorus
And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp!
And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll tak a cup o kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
Repeat Chorus
We twa hae run about the braes,
And pou'd the gowans fine;
But we've wander'd mony a weary fit,
Sin' auld lang syne.
Repeat Chorus
We twa hae paidl'd in the burn
Frae morning sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne.
Repeat Chorus
And there's a hand my trusty fere!
And gie's a hand o thine,!
And we'll tak' a right guid-willie waught,
For auld lang syne.
Repeat Chorus
