I'm Robin, 42, wife, two kids from Holland.
    Since 1994 I'm into IWC(steel Portofino leather strap). After that I had a 1995 Fliegerchrono 3707(?) in 1995 and a 3713(?) Doppelchrono in '98...
The last one maybe the best looking watch I ever owned.
I sold them and owned several Rolexes(GMTII, Subs, DeepSea through the years, also a brand I really appreciate. Maybe because my old man is a watchmaker and has a few JLCs and once had a MkXI IWC in the eighties it's genetic:)

Back in 2006 I bought a JLC Compressor chrono but switchched to a 3227 Inge, I sold that one to buy a DeepSea and after that the new Submariner Date...plus a 320 Panerai. I really like my watches to have manufacture movements....

I sold them and on my way came a AP Royal Oak Offshore and a JLC TT Polaris.

And I came across a Vintage Inge (here on a sporty Hirsch strap):
    i171.photobucket.com/albums/u298/Mokkiwokki/029.jpg?t=1332427822

I sold them all. And bought a JLC Navy Seals Alarm. Nice watch! But not as cute as my current 5004:)
    i171.photobucket.com/albums/u298/Mokkiwokki/012-6.jpg?t=1347445019

Here my ex Tribute to Polaris....

    Thanks for reading.

    Cheers

    Hi Robin,

Welcome to IWC Forum! Thanks for sharing your story and how you ended up where you started, with IWC.

The Big Pilot is a favorite model, congrats, and I love my 5002 BP classic!

So, just a quick question......do you still have the SS VC Inge or did you sell it to get the 5004? I think you sold it, right?

Hi Nad, thanks for the welcome.

I sold them all. The only watches I currently own are the 5004, an Oris Big Crown on rubber strap , a Supra 19th century gold petite sonnerie pocketwatch which I never wear LOL and a Casio G Shock.

    Cheers

You are now doomed to buying more and more IWCs. You have contracted the IWC uhren-virus and there is no known cure. Congratulations on your BP and welcome to the best forum to learn more about the history and tradition of all things IWC. Wear it in good health. Keep posting pictures.

I almost forgot....I only had this one for about one month last year. Great watch but the gold is too 'classy' for me...I prefer the steel version.

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum and greetings from sunny Singapore Robin. This is a place where collectors interact from all over the world and where knowledge and experience are exchanged. Most of us 'lurk' or post on a regular basis. Great to see you here and that 5004 looks splendid on your wrist.
