Mine also in a very nice "tabacco" wood watch box.
Problem is that I travel every month being a Pilot...
Whenever I'm back, they are stopped :(
Still no plans for a winding box.

I believe this is why people's obsession with accuracy, generally, is misplaced. Practically watches are reset and wound particularly around 28th, 30th & 31st. I believe winding machines place unnecessary wear on movements, however, Perpetual Calendars may need to run constantly to maintain the functions.
Late 2009 I lost almost all of my watches during a robbery at my house, so my advice to everyone is take ALL possible measures to protect your watches, even if it will diminish, somehow, the aesthetic pleasure of looking at them all in one place.
Having at least two nice boxes and keeping one in a bank safe and another at home in a very well concealed place might be a good solution. I personally abandoned the wall safe idea because I learned that you can be easily forced to open it...
Just my two cents...
Hi Bill,
what a fantastic collection!!!
Where did you get your boxes?
Are still available somewhere?
I keep my 8 watches in a soft leather 12 places roll (so 4 are still..empty.. ;-)) and would like to have a nice rigid box too, without spending too much money for a "Scatola del tempo".
TKS and BR.

I got a safe deposit box at my bank today to store my watches in, it is very inconvenient as the bank is only open 9 to 5 Monday to Friday and I tend to work 8 until about 7 or 8, (it is also a long way from work) so this is definitely going to be a problem for me to get a particular watch to wear and I am certainly going to miss admiring them in the one place and deciding which watch I will wear on the day, the only thing worse I can think of than not being able to admire my watches on a daily basis, would be if I weren't ever able to admire them again, because someone stole them. I think I will keep 3 or 4 at home and the rest in the safety deposit box. While they are insured, and with the later models you could get a replacement quite easily, there are a few that are basically irreplaceable.
That's wise, Shane, a bit sad, but wise.
Cheers!
The IWC watch boxes were initially available for sale from IWC, but are no longer available. I got lucky and found mine a few years ago. You might find one on auction sites, but I have not seen one in a long time.
Aloha Shane -
I use a seven-day pill organizer to store my Big Pilots so I remember which one to wear for each day of the week.
(Just kidding)

WOW, what a great collection, do you have any other IWC's or just Pilots?
Congrats, Tracy, that's not a pill box it's an air force base!!!
