Hi, greetings to all the forum members. Such a great forum to all IWC collectors.

Just would like to share how I got infected with this 3 letters virus, a.k.a IWC :)

After having my Rolex Date Just for the past 10 years or so, with a couple of Tag Heuer Carrera and Formula One, I've decided to it was time for me to get a new watch, so on our holiday trip to U.S., I planned to look around for one. Initially, the SLR limited edition from Tag Heuer would be the first choice, but how my visit to IWC boutique in NYC back in April, just a few days after grand opening, literally opened my eyes. Noreen was kind enough to show me the new Pilot collection, both the Spitfire and Chrono, and I knew that was it.

Not until we were in LA with a visit to IWC in Beverly Hills that I decided to get the Pilot Chrono 377701, and they even offered me to switch the tang buckle with the deployant, which I think it feels and looks better (and extend the life of the strap).

    So here are some shots.

@Dave: Thanks! Great to see other IWC lover...

Just when I thought I was done, the second virus attack hit me in the form of a Portuguese 7 Days 500014 from IWC Singapore, and it even comes with an extra light brown (tan) strap.

    Thanks, JUJU_D !

It is ! It's totally my favorite watch compared to any watch in the world...
But the funny thing is that I'm very confident that I have the IWC Virus as well. I thought buying the Portuguese Chrono would calm me down and I would stop drooling over other different models since I finally got my favorite one.
How completelly WRONG I was........ It's actually the opposite ! Now I'm drooling over all IWCs :)

Congratulations! Those are a couple of real beauties. The 5001-07 is at the top of my wish list at the moment, perhaps with the same light brown strap you have. Enjoy your watches.

Congratulations on these two wonderful new watches and welcome to the best IWC forum in the world.

Be warned though, this place will not cure you from your virus infection. As a matter of fact it will probably only enhance the infection and reduce the timespan between new watch purchases :-)

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

@KS Low: Yes, I did get it from IWC boutique at ION. The people there is wonderful as well (as with other IWC boutiques that I have gone too). Maggie was helping with the purchase (and also pampered my daughter with basically "all you can eat" chocolate wrapped in IWC Probus Scafusia logo, and new sets of crayons). They did have some awesome collections there, which I had the chance to try on, such as the Big Pilot DFB, and a Muhammad Ali (if I'm not mistaken, it's intended only for the N.A. market only, but I was told that it was a special order from a customer from Indonesia).

Thank you all for such a warm welcome. This is indeed a great forum with such knowledgeable collectors (and great collections as well). I haven't seen a single collection that I don't like from this forum, so whether it's a Pilot, Portuguese, Portofino, etc., bring them on :)
