Basically you don't want to change the date as the time approaches midnight or shortly thereafter --the gears are engaged then and manually changing then can hurt a tooth, causing problems. The solution is simple. Most saying avoid chaning between 10 and 2, but changing only between three and nine is fine and even more conservative.

You don't need to wait until that time; instead set the watch at a permitted time, change then the day/date, and then manually change to the correct time. It's best to set the watch to the day before, and then manually correct the time, which will change the day/date as well.

    Got it?
