How to Spot a Fake IWC Watch

Hi, Great master of IWC...

Need some help here. Someone i know is trying to sell his IWC watch as he's in need of some cash. I don't really know him very well so i would appreciate if the great master here can help me to validate the authenticity of this watch. I understand that there's no way to 100% validate a watch via photos, but any small amount of assurance will be more than enough for me. Also, if you have any information about this watch, that would be greatly appreciated as well.

Welll, it’s not Grand Master of IWC - but he asked me to post the following reply:

Your acquaintance that you barely know will make no cash from this watch, as it’s not an IWC, was not made in the IWC factory and has no value.

My boyfriend has an IWC Die Grosse Flifgeruhr limited edition platinum watch. We want to know if it is a original or replica. I have looked on different websites but haven't found much useful information. If anyone can help I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you. I have pictures and can post them if needed.

Ummm, yes pictures will be most helpful.

•How long he has had it?

HI guys, I bought this watch for my boyfriend, he loves IWC but we still have student loans so he can't afford it. I bought it from a friend of a friend, he says is legit but I do not know him that well (he is a good guy though, I know that for sure). Can you help me? I have not paid it yet, he said that i can do all the checks I want before. We do not have any jeweler close by that sells this brand...please help? :)
