Good evening to everybody,
The worst has happened: I dropped my Spitfire Mark XVI on the tile floor from ca/ 1 meter height. Nothing happened so far (1 hour has passed). What should I expect?
Thank you

Hello Volga,
Sorry to hear that you dropped your watch. If everything is working just as before, you might be lucky. Every fall is unique, there is no general answer.
For now, just check if everything works OK for the next couple of days. Things to keep an eye to are date change, manual and automatic winding and timekeeping. If anything is off, have your watch Checked by an official IWC watchmaker.
Kind regards,
Clemens
PS: welcome to the forum
My guess is that you are lucky. As to avoiding to drop a watch (I learned it the hard way), lay your watches at a not too high place where dropping is unlikely, and put your watch on or off while sitting down and above a soft surface, like your bed. Good luck!
Kind regards,
Paul
I suspect you're find.. Any damage to the case? Sometimes a huge fall can have zero impact while a tiny one can break everything..
If all is still good, chances are you're fine..
