My first sight love in the new Pilot's line up is the Spitfire Perpetual in RG. The sunburst ardoise dial is stunning and the simplicity of the dial design is very attractive. I love the stopwatch function combining the hours and minutes in a single sub dial. Like in the DaVinci and Yacht Club chrono references, this serves as a second time zone if the chronograph is left running. The diameter at 46 mm is just right for me as well. Lastly, the big month and date displays is unique and quite easy for tired, old eyes to read.

I need more time to study the details of each of the introductions, but this one caught my eye immediately.

What is your love at first sight impression?

This one is my favorite too.
My second choice would be the chrono (43 mm) with steel bracelet.

    The World Timer, definitely.
I hoped they would have thought about "Schaffhausen" instead of "Paris"...
Anyway, it seems to be just what i need in near future.

    Bill,
I agree the new Digital Spitfire Perpetual is a winner. I do wish it were being produced in a steel case to possibly make it more attainable for me : )

    My favorites are these two:
    media3.iwc.com/site_media/uploads/images/2012/01/16/IW3777IW3778.jpg
Not yet finally decided which one.
The metal bracelet on the chrono is great but the Doppel is extraordinary.
    Both extremely nice.

    Hi Bill,
did you notice the rotor that is a spifire aircraft?
    That's ingenious.
    A beautiful piece indeed.

I agee Bill, the Perpetual is a beauty and my favorite also. My close second is this one:

The slate dial and brown strap in SS might be one I could actually consider this year!

Man oh Man, I'm going to need all the help I can get!

Bill, you are spot on. That is one extremely handsome watch.

Cannot wait to see it on the wrist. Alan, you had better charge up the camera battery and hone the picture taking skills - Come Thursday, we will be lining up to have our photos taken by you, with these beauties on our wrists.

    Best regards
    Mark

And there is more clever on this watch - anyone notice at first glance the L in the center of the display on the bottom sub dial?

    Amazing!

IWC will have a huge success with this!

    Bill,

I just fell for the Big Pilot Perpetual in ceramic. This was my love at first sight. 100% highly engineered both inside and outside. How much better than this can it possibly get!

Of course this was my initial reaction this morning and will have to study the details of the entire family a bit more carefully - and there so much to consume here! A Doppel, a ceramic chrono pilot with a cal 89x heart, the digital date calendar spitfire, and more.

I believe Andrew had asked last week how can such a perfect line be improved. We sure got that question answered today and very emphatically so!

    Cheers,
    Evan

IWC did a fantastic job! On first sight I'd prefere the spitfire in stainless steel: The ardoise dial, the new hands dimensions and the adapted numerals. - so perfect!

I was in the Las Vegas Boutique today looking at photos and discussing the line-up. I hate conspiracy theories, but it is obvious to me that someone in IWC management must strongly object to me being retired, wants desperately for me to go back to work and is trying to force the issue by bringing out a host of watches I'll have great trouble resisting. Indeed I suspect that I will not be able to resist the new Spitfire Chrono.

I would like to compliment IWC for launching this modern Pilot series without loosing its traditional look. The one which has attracted me the most is the Spitfire Chronograph. However, I wish IWC launches few variations of Pilot series with white dial too.
