I am speechless. I’ll let the pictures tell the story. These are quick and dirty photos. I’ll do some staged ones in the next few days when I take the DFB off my wrist long enough.
My thanks to all the enablers who encouraged me to pursue this elusive Big Pilot. After some research, I learned that 23 of the DFB’s were provided to the Fussball players. The engraved number xxx/250 matched their jersey number. I understand that mine was the last one in IWC’s inventory. Thanks too to the IWC Boutique staff, particularly Patrick and Emily, who pushed to get it to me even though it took a bit of time and patience.
At 13:08 EST, the long awaited FedEx van pulled up to my house. I never went to the loo while waiting fearing I would miss the delivery. The rest is the unpacking and the reveal.
My usual FedEx guy didn’t understand why I was taking his picture.
Now the reveal: The watch shots are in no particular order. I just started snapping and breathing hard.
After being under the lights, the lume was charged.
