    STRAP THAT IS !!

    Greetings Everyone,

After a couple of weeks of absolute enjoyment with my new AT2000 on strap, a question to forum members...

Since this is my first experience wearing a rubber strap, what special treatment/maintenance would you suggest that would help preserve the strap and extend it's life ?

    Your thoughts are much appreciated.

    Andy

    Hi Andy,
I have an AT Chrono since 1,5 years, which I´m wearing very often. And I´m only wearing it, nothing more. The strap looks like it comes out of the box, the color is actually deep black and the material is perfect.
I think, you can wear your AT with the rubber strap for a lot of years without any treatment.

    Best regards
    Stefan

    Hi Andy,

The strap should wear like iron. Other then cutting it, I don't think you can hurt it.

    Enjoy,

    Isobars.

I don't usually do anything with my rubber straps. I'd avoid spraying anything on it to make it looks "pristine" either.

What I would suggest to do is to rinse it and rub out the dirt that got stuck onto it every now-and-then. This should keep your rubber strap looking clean, and get rid of any odor because of the dirt accumulated on it.

Im not sure if it is available overseas or might go by a different name but a little Armor All every now and then is always good on rubber straps to slow down the degradation caused by UV and soften it up a bit.

If you cant get Armor All, any other product that you can buy at a auto store for rubbing on your car dash, tyres, bumpers etc is just as good :)
