    Hi all,

need some help with this one since I'm not to familiar with Portugese models. So acquaintance of mine got a used (2011) Portugese Automatic 5001 and this set of papers. Now, I've never seen such guarantee card from 2011, I though all the new ones have IWC hologram in the upper right corner. Can you help me on this one? Any 5001 owners witch can confirm that these papers seem legit?
The watch is 100% genuine, no question about that.

    Hi,

FIrst of all, your card looks absolutely genuine to me. The one that came with my 5001 only has one minor difference, it says "Artikel-No." instead of "Modell-Nr." on yours, but I've seen small variations before.

And, although I find it important to have the card as part of a complete set, it is also not that important since you don't need it for service after the initial 2 years warranty expired.

    Regards,

    Bob

Your guarantee card is not a model from 2011 I guess but much older. There is still the old script International Watch Co. letters on it which dates it rather to 2001 than 2011. I guess the watch stayed for quite a while in the shop before you bought it.
