Ingenieur 3227 and 3239 dial size

Some of you might have already guessed it: they are identical (30mm).

40mm?

No, I'm not talking case diameter (which is 42 and 40mm, respectively) but actual dial size.

That was and still is an usual IWC dial size :-)

This is an older comparison. 36 mm Portugieser and 42 mm Ing.

Your photoshopped image just made me realize something that I never could put into words: there has to be a golden ratio between the thickness of the bezel against that of the hands and hour markers/numerals.

If you would be so kind, please elaborate on the Portuguese & Ingenieur on the right side. Would like to know some of the spec's ( diameter, height, year produced, variation , etc. )

Those are just such beautiful watches. I would enjoy wearing them. Both are Stunners !

Well, I thought the photos would be self-explanatory ?!

The upper photos show the Ref. 3227 and ref. 3531.

In the lower photos I just exchanged the dials of the Ing. and the Portu. via photoshop, because they have the same diameter.
