Inherited IWC watch

Good afternoon

First of all I am not even sure I am in the right section of the forum but you will have to bear with me.

A few years back I inherited an IWC watch from my grandfather. I do not believe it is worth much other than sentimental value for me but I would really like to know some more about the watch itself. I recently moved to London and I forgot the watch case / receipt at home. And the name of the watch is not on the receipt. Too be frank I am not even sure if it is even a gents watch but since I got it from my grandfather I would presume it is.

The watch itself is in good condition and I usually wind it up once every day.

I see a very nice all original vintage IWC (which was made as a mans watch - but perfectly suited to a woman today).

I would send it to Schaffhsusen to the Wizards there, for a SPA treatment.

You have, I believe a late 50s IWC Cal 89 with it's original Fish Crown, which is significant. If you send it in for service request for it to be retained.

Cal 89s were made from 1946 to 1976.

It is nice to know more about my watch. I am in need of a new watch strap unfortunately so I will head down to an IWC store in London within the next week.
