Warm welcome, Andy! What an amazing first post? Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection.
A fabulous collection and thanks for sharing those treasures with us. We don't see many original B-Uhrs.
Hello,
Thank you for the very warm welcome to your forum and for all your kind comments.
I have had quite a few of the B-Uhr watches pass through my workshop and I am always impressed by their superb design and quality. Here is another group shot showing an additional watch on the far right side. This additional watch is one of the very early Wempe B-Uhr's which were produced for the RLM (Reichsluftfahrt-Ministeriums). These early experimental navigation watches were fitted with stripped down chronograph movements. This particular watch has a Le Phare Cal. 114 movement fitted.
I find it very interesting that the DNA of the iconic IWC Big Pilot watch from WW2 is still so strongly represented in the range of watches available from IWC today - over 70 years later. Andy
Wow ! Really a treasure ! Every pilot's dream !
However, being an offshore pilot, I never take my best watches for a flight !
:)
Hi Andy, It's Amazing! I really enjoyed seeing your B-Uhr collection, I'm a fã of vintage pílots watches
Thanks again for sharing this wonderful collection

Those are fantastic, Andy. Congrats on ownership!
Hi Andy,
Thank you for your sharing. It an eye opener for me to see this WW2 BP.
My BP5009 cannot come close as compared to your historical piece.
Hi Andy,
Welcome to The Forum!
What an excellent entry you just made, congratulations!
You leave us hoping for many more interesting posts like this one in the future.

Hi Andy,
Welcome to the forum and what a great collection! A greeting from it's smaller sister!
Mmmmm think I might have to fly to Schaffhausen to collect my Certificates of Authenticity when they are ready.
Great post...the B-uhren and the love for everything related to WW2 wore the main contributors for my love for IWC.
Thats a heck of an entree into the forum and welcome. Good to see another Brit resident in the UK.
Really like to see these old watches, and it fuels my love for the 5002. When looking at the different watches, I especially notice the "open 9" on the IWC, which also is present at the 5002.
Thanks for posting.
Regards Jesper
Fantastic post, thanks a lot & welcome of course!
Regards,
Bob
Hi Andy,
This is a long shot, but I like a challenge. I am looking for a crown for my IWC B-uhr, I see in this historic post that you have restored some iconic watches and hoped that you might be able to point me in the right direction.
Kind regards,
Stewart
