Is been a very exciting day. Finally after many years (more than 10) of looking at IWC watchs, I am finally a proud owner of a Portuguese Automatic 5007. For years I've lusted over them. I've looked at the Big Pilot's, the Portuguese Chronograph and the Chronograph Classic, but always went back to the 7 Day Automatic. Just love the classic design.

I have been serious about this purchase for the last month. I have also enjoyed joining and reading the posts this forum. I do look forward to being a member of the IWC community and the custodian of such a great watch.

    Regards,

    Markus

    Congratulations Markus!

This is à contemporary icon and the uppdated ref 5007 version features the new cal 52010 dual-barrel movement which I think brings it to new heights.

    Enjoy!

    Hi,

Sorry I haven't been on the forum much lately. I've been busy traveling and enjoying my watch!. I will be in Zurich for about a day and might have a chance to got to Schaffhausen Saturday morning. Any advice. I see the museum is open earlier on Saturdays. Any other things that can be recommend in Schaffhausen such as restaurants, other watch things, etc.

    Will post pictures soon!

    Markus
