Little Prince understanding love has no cost
"...To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world .One only understands the things that one tames, "Men have no more time to understand anything. They buy things all ready made at the shops. But there is no shop anywhere where one can buy friendship, and so men have no friends any more. If you want a friend, tame me . . ."

Probus Scafusia indeed
Is the craftsmanship you need
To tell you the time all day
In a most excellent way
And this forum, I must say
Crosses all the boundaries
Joining our affinities
Do you use your 3717 as metronome? nt
7 times. . . . .
a lot of pleasure. So it has really cost me nothing but given me a lot.
Haiku on steroids. Very nice Norbert. nt
Jean, Congratulations on your new daughter. (nt)
Very nice indeed!
In comparison my post with seven words per line was the easy way out. Good job!

What I lack of knowledge about IWC, I try to make up with lots of pictures. For this special post, I picked seven of my favorites (not counting the Waterfalls :-)
I would never have thought that getting one nice watch in October 2005 (no IWC) would have resulted in this. Since I found the IWC Forum, I spend much less time on other Forums and this is the only Forum where I sign my posts with my real name.
Below my Inge, one of the first pictures I took and still a favorite! If I could only keep one watch, this would be the one!

Help, my second hand is on fire!

My first IWC, the St Exupéry Chrono. I still remember when I went to pick up this watch. It was just before an important meeting with one of my employees and I was glad that everything worked out well.
The way the sunlight can hit this dial is something to be seen in person.

My beloved Portuguese Automatic was the best Christmas gift I ever got and I take great pleasure in wearing this marvelous piece.

Last but not least a picture of my collection!

The cost of this collection? Who cares! What I treasure are the fond memories of the Collectors Forum meeting and the contact with Forum members. I sure hope to have more lunches like the one I attended last Friday!
Happy birthday to the Forum, many thanks for the great job Michael does and to all of you (us) for making this a great place to hang out.
Kind regards,
Clemens

Addictive hobby...
I've just gotten the watchbox from IWC with will fit 12 watches. I hope I will be fortunate enough to fill it in the coming 7 years with 10 extra watches.
Next project is an Ingenieur.
Many thanks !
Great photos - like normal (nt)
Nice Work Clemens..&..Kind regards to you. (nt)
Hmm!! Never though about that! nt
Beautiful pictures!
The first one reminds me of Hong Kong for some reason... And I can't help but notice you changed the strap on the port auto, black does seem to fit it better.
You're very good at catching the texture on the dial of the inge! It really makes the pictures of it more vivid and "real"!

A very expensive forum, and I love it!
Certainly one watch, the redgold Saint Exupéry Chrono, and maybe a second watch, the titan Inge Automatic, I bought because of the forum, amounting to SFr 25.000. Because of the forum I was invited to Geneva, whitch made me order the Vintage Collection Portuguese, another estimated SFr 13.000. The trip to Geneva, reading all these posts, it takes quite a lot of time. Why do I do it? The watches because I truely love them, the forum because I really grew to like you all.
Kind regards,
Paul, wearing yellow gold Portuguese Perpetual Calendar, pre-forum for me, so it does not count
The Forum Convinced Me To Buy The BI 5005!
Aloha all!
In August of 2007 I asked forum members if I should wear my BP 5004 to an upcoming job interview. To my surprise, the forum consensus was a resounding “no - it’s too big” because it could be a distraction.
Consequently, I went to the mall to look for a stainless Timex to wear to the interview. Long story short, I stopped at the AD at the mall and ended up picking up the just-just-released Big Ingenieur 5005 which I wore to my interview.
So I guess I can honestly say that my purchase of at least one IWC watch was DIRECTLY driven through forum participation!
