It's confirmed: the CF3 --officially the Collectors' Forum Pilot's Chronograph-- will have an IWC deployant buckle. I know several of you asked, and while someone mentioned that, it's buried in one post. I confirmed this with Schaffhausen.

To my thinking, it's a really nice added touch. While not as traditional as a classic buckle, I find deployant buckles far more easy to open and close --less chance of dropping and less wear on the strap.

Sales are going far better than I ever imagined for the first three weeks, especially given little publicity. Thursday and today, so far, are the first day without any orders. To get on the order list for the Collectors' Forum Pilot's Chronograph, please click here.

I have found that a model that I changed from pin to deployant sat a whole lot better on the wrist. So whilst not a traditional buckle on a pilot watch it is an improvement that will benefit with a better fit for some.
