Hi all,
I'm currently in the market for a perpetual calendar, preferably rose gold. I had considered a newer Portuguese model (IW5023-02, IW5023-06 or IW5033-02), but I'm now rather taken with the older 'original' Da Vinci perpetual calendars (3750 series) as they have a bit more authenticity and meaning in terms of watchmaking history.
From a collector's standpoint, which is more likely to retain value - a yellow gold 3750 or a rose gold 3754 Ratrappante? Also, both of them have an ETA 7750 base caliber, while the newer perpetuals (5023/5033) use an in-house movement. Would love to hear your views!
Thanks,
Phil
