    Greetings..
    I have the unique opportunity to purchase a 1943' 18 carat gold wrist watch with following description:

    Round watch with inner round subdial
    Caliber: 83
    Case ID: 111 2119
    Mechanic's ID: 107 7147
    Year 1943'
    Very nice condition,working excellent, hardly ever oppened
    anyone can tell me the aprox value?..and if it is worth purchasing as a investment as well,this particular model??

    we can't tell worth from your info...

    We can't tell (a) the size of the watch nor (b) the style, including dial, nor (c) the condition of the watch (despite your description that it;s very good) from the serial numbers or movement type. All three have a significant bearing on value. The value could be under 1000 USD or more than 3000 USD.

    Very few watches are "good investments" unless you have a particularly in demand style or one which luckiy becomes in demand after you bought it. Or if you are fortunate enough to buy it way under current market price, Most gold calibre 83 IWC watches (which is what you're seeing) don't fall in the first two categories and biuying under market is usually rare, especially given what can be a spread between sell and buy prices.
