Setting the date. First there is a warning never to use the quick set date method between 20:00 and 02:00 hours, if you have this option. The date change gears are engaged and you may damage them.

Steps to setting the date for a watch with a quick set date option. Pull out the crown to the second stop and advance the hours and minutes hands so you know noon from midnight and set the appropriate time of day. Push the crown back in a far as it will go. THen pull it back out to the first stop (not the stop that allows you to advance the time). Rotate the crown one =way or another to advance the day / date. Note the warning above. Never use the quick set option in the forbidden time period.

If you have a watch without the quick date set, just advance the hours and minutes hands to get to the date you want and be aware of noon vs. midnight as you advanced the hands.
