Hi all i have joined this fourm as I have recently Come in possession of the most beautiful watch i have layed my hands on.
It's a iwc big pilot B uhr ww2 milletary watch with fl23883 wrote down the side. The watch dose work like a dream but unfortunately the strap was not with it. This is a ww2 pilot master piece
Here is excellent post about the watch I'm selling www.iwc.com/forum/en/discussion/23975/I ask the members of the fourm were best to sell this item? It's on ebay as I write this but I think will be removed. As I don't think people know what they are bidding on.

Hope for your advice and mybe someone's interest for a sale.Regards Dave

An exact total of 1200 such movements were manufactured and bore the serial numbers 1013801 to 1015000.
1000 of these were delivered to the German Luftwaffe using a recipient named "Siegfried Heindorf" in Berlin as watches. The first batch consisted of watches were equipped with a cylindrical crown and the later batch had the conical crowns that we associate so strongly with today as a design cue.

I have number 1014700. I wonder how many of these same models are still out there?
