IWC BIG PILOT HERITAGE 48 MM BRACELET LEATHER STRAP CASE

Hello Fellows
i recently bought an amazing 48mm Big Pilot Vintage watch 1000ex..
what a great watch, look vintage and very nice style, i loved it.
BUT
problme is the bracelet, just unwearable !
I know it's the bracelet is exactly like made during this time, my wrist is not small 17.5cm.
i folded it on my wrist like seen on web, but under jumper, under jacket, i damaged it all the time.
It's just a shame and make feel guilty to wear this beauty with this bracelet.
The look is great, quality is pristione, exceptc the size, maxi large.

so is anybody know if IWC thinks about different size or others models ?

i don't want to finish to wear this watch only in tee shirt ! :(

Have you considered just buying a shorter strap?

As you said being true to the original these were worn over a thick bomber jacket.

Hello, yes of course i did.
but the charm disapears instantanetly...
This type f bracelet are cleverly handmade but just a little bit more shorter should be me amazing.
I'm in touch with IWV headquarter for theses bracelets.
A new line bracelet will come soon in 2017...

I hope that you have come to realize that you acquired this watch because of its great heritage and for what it is - and that you have accepted that to wear it in summer on a naked wrist you should / would need to put a standard strap on it. The standard LPP calfskin straps look the same (finish wise) and will complement the watch.

I do understand your sentiment about the double strap design and it best g for you an integral part of the watches appeal - so not being able to have a strap of the same design in a small size that works on a bare wrist is then frustrating.

Have you tried the IWC NATO strap?
I think it should look fine.

I also love my Heritage 48 but agree that the XL strap which came with the watch is too long sometimes.
IWC actually has (and from my knowledge always had) a shorter Version of the strap. It is 30 mm shorter and to add to the confusion is called the STANDARD length....
So to Sum it up:
Watch shipped with XL Strap at 185mm
IWC offers a standard Strap at 155mm (Item Number: IWE05861)

strap only, no buckle included.

I wear the shorter one for formal times, suits etc. and the longer one with short sleeves.
