Hi, I have a BP and have been thinking of putting a different strap on. I have been using the crocadile one for two years on a deployment but find it a bit uncomfortable. (I have small wrists)
My AD was at an IWC event earlier in the year and said all the staff, waitress etc had BP on.Some had rubber straps and other straps. Are there any other options.
Has anyone got the soft straps on the top gun pilots. Are they soft?
Will the new 3777 bracelet fit on the BP. - 5004

    Thanks

    Andy

I just bought the IWC strap that originally sits on the Big Pilot Top Gun (the black one). It's a rubber front, with leather lining. Beautiful, and gives the watch a more robust look.

    The product number is IWA51387

It is more comfortable. Softer, and the leather inside doesn't make the plastic grind into your arm...

Thanks for sharing the pic, nice choice...

Wondering has anyone try having the brown calf strap with the BP? How will it look? As it is much softer compare with the croc strap.

Anyone has a pic to share?

I have the brown calf bp strap on my Top Gun 3799 but don't have small wrists. I have the crocodile strap on rhetoric 5001 and whilst it isn't as thick as the strap on the bp towards the lugs, I would say the brown calf is a stiffer strap. Have you tried some Dubbin or similar leather conditioner on your croc strap to soften it up a little?

Aside from that, the black nylon strap from the 3799 will fit and is very comfortable and now sells with the deployant clasp configuration but also keep in mind the Miramar straps it will fit as well but only in tang config .

Hi Andy. I've also been looking for something new for the BP and with very little options available from the Boutique (although I am not certain I am getting the correct answer there) I decided to get one custom made.

Canvas with red stitch. Also opted for a buckle over the standard deployant.

(Apologies in advance if non OEM straps are against forum rules. In this MODs feel free to remove the post)

I think the ceramic perpetual strap looks great on the Big Pilot. Here are a few combinations I have tried (and posted before)

Thanks for posting this. Looks great! I have been considering it for a while now but this is the perfect inspiration to pull the trigger.

Hi Andy, a gentleman by the name of Micah Dirksen (Vintager Staps) made it for me.
