Hello MMARC77
The reason that you got no answer is most probably because the pictures are not visible. I saw them on another forum and I can answer some of your questions. The pictures are by the way very beautiful. No doubt the movement is the very rare IWC cal. 82. This movement was developed by IWC as to be mounted in a savonette (hunter) ladies pocket watch.
I can read 4 of the 6 movement digits : 7552xx. From the IWC ledger it is 100 % sure that this is a cal. 82 produced in 1920, which was the first year that this caliber has been made. During those days wrist watches became fashionable and the first wrist watches made by IWC had small ladies pocket watch movements as their engine. Some of the cases were made by IWC simply using the pocket watch case and souldering lugs on it. However this case has no case nr. nor the "Probus Scafusa" stamp used by IWC, even when the case was bought by IWC from other companies. This suggest that almost certainly the case is not originally from IWC.
The fact that also the dial has not been signed by IWC is not unusual.
Kind regards,
Adrian,
(alwaysiwc).
