Good day everyone! I have an vintage cal 89 in yellow gold, and I just noticed something. When I pull out the crown I can see (If I scrutinized carefully) the part underneath the gold crown and it is steel. I thought that the entire case plus crown was supposed to be gold? but the crown appears to be steel with a thick layer of gold casing on top of it, therefore when pulled out one can see the steel. Is that common?

I dont know why I cant attach a pic but heres the exact model of my watch

    Thank you

Ok I have made a photo bucket account. So here is the pic of my watch. Again my question is simply, is it common that when you pull out the crown you can see the seperation between the exterior of the crown (gold) and the underlying (im guessing its called a stem) of the crown which is steel? The pic does not show this because it is nearly impossible to have camera focus to that micro bit unless I had a professional camera.

Thank you all very muchYour text to link here...
