Late to respond to this one, but no harm in resurrecting it now. Here's the state of my collection as it stands today and I'm pretty happy with it. Two have passed through my hands that aren't here; a GST Chrono Automatic and an AT2000 (prior gen), but otherwise it's coming along nicely. Fairly contemporary by many standards, but hey, there's always the next one as they say....
Long over due post. My small collection of three. I'm still trying to figure out if my next watch will be the classic big pilot or the top gun big pilot. Any suggestions?
Great collections lads. I see a lot of you has the IWC Vintage Aquatimer. Very interesting, since this model is fairly rare on "other" watch forums. Love every bit of it though...
2 pieces or 100 pieces is the same. The most important thing is the collector mind and the love for your watches, so thanks to show us your collection.
So I have a Pilots watch, Mark v11 platinum blue face, and I cannot find out much about . It is boxed but no paperwork. I think it is 1992-3 ? Had it serviced when I bought it from a shop in Brighton recently. Cannot see any manuals for it on here ? Any help ? jozkis@yahoo.com
Whenever you've posted photos I've always had the same thought - that you've got one of the best IWC collections I've seen anywhere. Very few dealers would have as many really great pieces.
That is one of my favorite photos in the forum! Your collection and STZ's include all of the IWCs that would be on my watch buying list if I was to ever go on a buying binge.
I actually own watches from other series, but the Ingenieur series are indeed one of my favorites.
I like them because of many reasons. Just to think of a few: 1) They are versatile--handsome and looks sophisticated with formal clothing, yet sporty enough with casual wear; 2) I just love their applied numerals and indices; 3) They have titanium as a material of choice, and other materials for the more daring and adventurous.
