Recently i just bought a used fliegerchronograph. Its a great beauty and i love it but later did i found out that the day will jump at 12am which i think is normal but the date will only jump at about 0130am is it normal or something is wrong with my watch? Doesn't it suppose to jump together at 1200am? Must i send my watch for a servicing or can i just ignore it? Anyway can somebody advice me on how to check the time accuracy of this watch as this is the first chrono watch i have owned. Some info for this watch will be greatly appreciate too.

Don't worry about the date and day changing at different times, quite normal.
Find a reference source for the time on the Internet and hack your watch (stop it by pulling the crown all the way out to third position when the second hand is at 60). Adjust the hands to coincide with your local time and then when your reference time coincides press the winding crown in and lock down the crown. 24 hours later go back to your reference time source and check your watch against your reference source. Record error rate, and check ever 24 hours for a week to see if your watch is both accurate and consistent.
By the way it's a good idea to have your watch serviced every 3-4 years and you can find your local service centre at the heading marked Retail and Service. Enjoy it's a great model!

Due to the gearing of the day/date mechanism in your watch, there can be up to 40 minutes between the change of day and date. either one can change first.
The 90 minutes between the two in your case indicates that the previous owner tried to quick-change the date(first crown position) between 9pm and 3am.
This has forced the finger that changes the date into the wrong position.
As nothing has been broken, just repositioned, your watch won't be adversely affected and you can continue to wear it up to its next service, if the difference doesn't bother you.

    Hi Mayzack,

I have a 79230 powered 3799 and as Leo pointed out like all 79230/79320/79420/... Valjoux 7750 based IWC calibers, it takes about 3 quarters of an hour for the change to happen. I usually notice them start the process at around 23:10. However, the day & date changeover completes itself exactly at 12:00 AM.

    Best Regards,

    Sumit

Mayzack, for your info listen to Leo who knows the insides of most hi end watches having been a watch service guy for years and is now the service manager for Richemont London servicing IWC, Jaeger LeCoultre, Cartier and most other Richemont family brands.

Congrats on the 3706, a beautiful classic! I nearly bought one, then found a MARK XV and thought and thought. I then decided to get a new MARK XVII but found a 3717. I love chronos so 3717 is my latest addition to the watch box.

    Hi Mayzack,

Congrats to your 3706 as I am now contemplating getting a 3705, trying to authenticate it in London but it seems like Richemont service centre in London does not provide such services. Does anyone here have any other alternative?

Anyway, enjoy your new edition and hope to see some wrist shots from you soon.
