I was wondering: I thought my watch had a Schaffhausen movement in it. I was talking with a noted watchmaker/repairman in my town and he said he thought it was a Valjeaux (sp?). What's the deal?

Your watch has a movement produced by ETA-Valjoux to IWC's specifications, and then modified by IWC. You can read about the changes to your movement at

3707 GST was (and is) a terrific watch. I owned it in both silver dial and black dial SS and Ti if I recall properly.
The silver dial was one of IWC's most beautiful ever.
Love to see pictures of yours if you get a chance.
