IWC Ingenieur (Plastiki) accuracy...

Dear friends,

Before a week I bought an IWC ingenieur Plastiki limited edition.
During all these days the watch runs ahead 5 sec a day!!!!
Is this accuracy inside the limits that IWC give for this watch or not????

That accuracy is certainly within IWC's specifications. It also is within chronometer specifications, and is considered very good for a mechanical watch.

By the way, consistency is considered actually more important than accuracy --a watch can be regulated plus or minus for tolerances, within some extent, but a watch that is inconsistent needs more complicated positional adjustments.

I would also try placing the watch in different positions when you take it off. Try dial down, or crown up. If you find that one of these positions slows down the movement then use it at night.
