Hi Forum people! Having proudly just joined the 'club' with my first ever IWC, I've been doing a lot of researching on watch winders and have decided to get one for my brand new treasure.
I've decided to get a swiss-made KUBIK watch-winder for the following reasons:
- swiss-quality (robust)
- programmable via usb (useful, although i understand you can't under/over-wind anyways)
- modular (fingers crossed the collection grows and one can simply add more)
- quiet & small (able to fit in a safe if required one day)
- a great display (i won't be wearing my IWC everyday (still nervous) and i think this is a great way on a shelf to be able to admire the watch and see it 'move')
Anyways, I understand there is a IWC branded version of this Kubik watch winder. Which I'm guessing must have been provided by IWC boutiques to purchasers of perpetual calendar watches, or perhaps given as gifts to you senior forum members at previous SIHHs?
I've attached pictures below, does anyone know where I could get my hands on one (that isn't exorbitantly marked up in price by some retailers out there)? I'm assuming a fair retail price is like a new standard Kubik winder - circa £400 / $600?
Thanks for any help/advise out there! Vinh
