Dear IWC forum members,
I bought a new Mark XVIII recently and noticed that the dials are slightly tilted towards the right hand side (crown direction). I am wondering if anyone have similar issue?
Many thanks
Lawrence

Hard to understand what you mean tilted, and the Mark XVIII has only one dial?
Perhaps a foto will help us understand.
But if you are unhappy, take it back to the Authorised Dealer you bought it from and compare it to others.
If you can pick something up visually and it's not the position of the hands or lighting etc; causing a visual imbalance, it will always bother you. I would do as suggested and compare it to another for peace of mind.
Yes can you take a picture and show us. I am happy to compare with mine.
Hi all,
Thank you all for the input. Sorry for my late reply. Here are a few pics.
When i look at my watch, i feel as if the watch face is slightly rotated anticlockwise. What do you guys think?
I also notice the crown is a bit tilted upward leaving a larger gap below when you look on the side. If you look at the front, the crown is tilted downward. Is that normal for screw in crown? i never own a watch with screw in crown before.
Unfortunately, i bought the watch in malaysia during my holiday last week. I am now back in Australia. So i cant bring it back to the shop for comparison.
Thanks again for your help.
Regards
Lawrence
May you possibly share from which AD you bought the watch? It indeed looks a bit unusual in some aspect. Also I believe there may be other IWC AD in Australia so you can compare the one you have with the Mark in those AD.
It looks like it may have suffered a knock to the crown. Possibly an impact to the crown could have caused the movement to shift slightly. I'm only guessing - but it is something that may have happened before you even took possesion of the watch.
If you purchased through an AD and the watch is under guarantee, send it to the service centre in Sydney to check it out.
Hi Edward,
I bought it from the AD called 'Swiss Watch Gallery' while i was visiting Penang, Malaysia for holiday.
I might need to contact IWC to see how to get it check out.
Thanks a lot for your help. Really glad i got a second opinion. I really love the new design. This is my first IWC watch. It is just a bit disappointing to encounter these issues.

Lawrence
Hi Ben,
I am not sure if there was a knock to the watch before as i cant see any scratch or dent to the crown to suggest previous accident.
The watch is only 1 week new, i visit melbourne every now and then. It would be great if IWC allow me to send it to a service centre in melbourne for checking. I rather send the watch in person than relying on courier service.
The service center is in Sydney, you can always ask one of the Melbourne ADs to send it in (at a fee) they will take care of the watch though.
I contacted IWC through their website on 6 July, and unfortunately i still haven got any reply from them.
Don't use the website, find a local authorized IWC dealer and let them send it in. It doesn't matter if they're the place you bought it from, any AD will do. The website is a dead end and IWC is terrible at communicating with customers directly; go through a boutique or AD.
You can also drop me an email so I can forward your question to the people in charge in Schaffhausen.
That is also a part of the communication that IWC has with customers.
